OUR SPECIAL
In Cayo Largo there is a tree known as “La Yana,”
which is said to be the oldest in the place. Stories
and legends have been woven around this unique
plant, some related to its longevity and others that
tell of pirates and corsairs who sailed through the
region and used it as a guide or mark to hide their
precious treasures. Today many travelers visit it and
take home a souvenir photo.
Cayo Largo is accessible by air through an
international airport; or by sea on yachts
and other vessels. Along with international
flights, there is also the possibility of national
connections, and travel agencies such as Cubatur
sell excursions that can include airfare or maritime
transportation, tours, accommodation and food
for one or several days.
To live memorable days in Cuba’s hospitable
environment, Cayo Largo del Sur offers itself as
a renovated destination of incomparable beauty.
