I n Havana, three hotels of the Gran Caribe
Group, recognized for their historical-
cultural significance and the excellence of
their services, are now ready to receive new
guests, once the activity of international travel is
resumed on November 15.
Located in the central Vedado district, the
NH Capri Hotel has received since last February
those guests who, upon arrival in Cuba, took
advantage of the quarantine period established
by the health authorities. This stage of less
influx of travelers was used to implement
improvements in technological systems such
as air conditioning, and investments were
made in the swimming pool and kitchen areas,
restoration of furniture, painting and other
details in the rooms. As of this new season, it
will start offering free Internet connection service
via Wi-Fi.

NH Capri has a history that dates back to 1957,
when it was inaugurated as an American mafia
business. After the revolutionary triumph, it
continued to receive travelers who enjoyed its
excellent services, and after the renovations
completed in 2014, the facility was included in
the portfolio of the prestigious Spanish chain
NH Hotels.

For its part, the Hotel Nacional de Cuba, a
jewel of the country’s hotel industry, reopened
its doors last December 30, in commemoration
of its 90th anniversary. Since then it has catered
to more than 14,800 guests. New comers who
visit it will find a completely renovated hotel,
with both swimming pools revamped, new sale
